How To Fix The Redirect Loop Error In WordPress

I am sure by now you all realized that Review Central was down for a few days, well at least the main page. All other parts of the site, including ALL posts, were still active. It turns out something happened after after my hosting company did a server restart a couple of days ago that resulted in this ‘all of a sudden’ redirect problem. Believe me, I tried everything I know to get the main page back online, even going as far as re-installing WordPress, all to no avail. Then I decided to do a more thorough search on the internet as to how best, and easily, I could resolve the issue. I came upon an article by a guy named Jason Annas over at Enlightened Webmastery entitled How To Fix The Redirect Loop Error In WordPress that hit the nail right on the head. Using the “Disable Canonical URL Redirection” plugin did the trick. I was able to literally bring the main page of Review Central back online in less than 30 seconds!
